Justice Colwell is an Ojibwe artist from Port Perry, Ontario, his practice is currently based out of Halifax.
He has an interdisciplinary photo-based practice with an emphasis on printed matter, painting, collage and sculptural objects, with that being said, Justice is a dabbler of mediums.
Justice's photographs are shot using only film, he does not use digital photography unless it is to photograph his other works. His work is often investigatory and offers insight into his surroundings while simultaneously providing the viewer with humour, symbolism and pure documentation.
Justice is currently in his final year of the BFA program at NSCAD University in Halifax, he is pursuing a double major in art history and intermedia.
Justice's work has been exhibited both domestically and internationally including cities such as London (UK), Sapporo (Japan), Toronto (Canada) and Dawson City (Canada).
